feet - Yea agree, he seems to have hit a wall there, heard the fans are turning a bit too. Note Man Utd didn't go in for him, he was probably hoping for a call.
Everton won't go now, which is fine by me, Burnley can do one.

Fancy announcing that the current manager won't be the manager next season with four crucial games left. DOH. You reap what you sow!

Thought Brighton were outstanding yesterday. Was I right in hearing that before yesterday they had only scored 12 at home? Wellbeck makes a difference o them but if they had a top striker why didn't suffer injuries they would be a very good side potentially. Where have I heard that before?!

Our full back positions are dire now, Cresswell is finished, Johnson is a prospect at best, and Coufal looks like someone from the crowd has come on to play. Then there's Arthur and Fredericks.
Will it get addressed in the summer? Nope.

.. i saw Brighton at Watford and their pair of full backs Cucarella AND Lamptey, were their best players , pushed right up the pitch and attacking throughout .

I think the most we've ever spent on a full back was 6m for Masuaku. Cresswell and Coufal were a bit less than that.
Other than that it's been frees, youth players and loans at full back under these owners.

Just looked up Cucurella, he cost them 15 million, can't imagine us spending that on a left back in the first place. He must be worth double that now.

Didn't Newcastle poach their Director of Football recently?
I think it's easier for a club like Brighton to take a punt on those type of players also as there isn't the expectation on them that there is with other clubs, so if a signing doesn't come off there isn't going to be that big a spotlight on it. Provided you don't get relegated, you've had a good season and met the expectation, anything beyond that is a bonus.

Brighton are finishing the season well .... for us ... beating Tottenham, Arsenal and now Man U Whenever I have seen them, especially at home, are often the better team without a cutting edge. Understand they'd only won 3 home games (scoring 12 goals) prior to yesterday. Potter is obviously getting attention as he has bought well and developed an impressive way of playing. His next step is going from a smaller team to one with more resources. And expectation. Like Eddie Howe is at the moment.
ps How come they found that Cucurella at left back ... & Bissouma & we didnt?

Our only concern with the Brighton game is that it puts them in even closer touching distance to us for 7th place.
Man U will NOT lose their last game and give up sixth - it simply won't be allowed to happen.

Brighton are no mugs and played us off the park earlier in the season, Potter has put together a good side, lots of ball players and as others have said Cucurella is a cracking left back.

Said it 2 years ago. City should have gone after son before he signed his Contract extension last year, after Sane left. Not only would he have suited them down to the ground (rather than grealish), but in reality it would've likely meant Kane would've been even more interested in leaving spurs and going there. And all in all, spuds get fucked, which would've been perfect.
